I went to Global setting > Symbol Settings and changed the default round turn commission amount there. Then, I went to the Trade > Trade Account Monitor/Balances Window and there is still no column showing commissions. There is a Daily Net P/L column, but it is still showing the same as the Daily Profit/Loss column. The Daily Profit/Loss column is showing the Daily Profit/Loss correctly, as the gross amount. I just can't get the commission(s) to display and the Daily Net P/L column to display the net amount after commissions. How can I fix this? Sierra Charts are the best, in my opinion! |

The Round Turn Commission in Global Symbol Settings has no effect at all on the Trade Account Monitor.

Where do I go to set the commission amount for each symbol so that the Daily Net P/L is calculated minus commission per round turn? I just also tried going to the Global setting > Symbol Settings screen and selected each symbol, ie, ES, CL and etc and entered the applicable roundturn commission. Then saved the chartbook and then disconnected and reconnected to the server; and, I am still unable to see the commission amount displayed anywhere on the Trade Account Monitor / Balances Window? How do I fix this? |

You can have the Daily PL account for commissions within a chart by using this setting: Chart Settings: Use Symbol Commission Setting in Trade List and Statistics Calculations (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Trading menu) Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Hello, so as I understand there isn't any possibility to have the PNL with the commission in the "Trade account monitor" windows? Also even though I've parameters the commission in Global settings / Symbol settings, the trades are sent without commission to Rithmic, how can we solve this? Thanks.

What you are stating is not making any sense to us. To begin with, trades are not sent "with" or "without" commissions. They are simply sent to the market and filled at a certain price. When a trade is completed, your Profit and Loss is determined and you can view that Profit/Loss on the Trade Activity Log, including the Commissions that you have defined in the Symbol Settings. But the "Trade Account Monitor" does not take into account the commissions with regards to the OpenPositionsP/L and DailyProfit/Loss. For the Account Balance, however, that shows the balance of your account with your broker. Therefore, the account balance reported there is from your broker. If it is not reflecting what you expect, then you need to ask your broker about this. If you are using our "Simulated Futures Trading Service" then there are a couple of places where you can also add information to simulate the fees that you are assessed from real trading. If you need more information on this, then please let us know. Also, refer to the following regarding the account balance information on the Trade Account Monitor: Trading Information Windows: Trade Account Monitor (Account Balances) Window For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

John - SC Support: I went to Trade / Trade Activity Log and there is good data there but there is no column showing the Commissions. Can I somehow add the commissions column. |

There is not a separate commissions column on the Trade Activity Log. If you include commissions (by setting the option for "DisplaySettings >> Use Commission" to "Yes") then your Profit/Loss will be adjusted by the commission amount. I went to Chart >> Chart Settings >> Trading and set "Use Symbol Commission Setting in Trade List and Statistics Calculation" to Yes, and also went to Trade Activity Log >> Display Settings and set "Use Commission" to Yes, and went to Global Settings >> Symbol Settings and set the "Round Turn Commission" and its currency properly for all the symbols I'm trading, and went to the Trade Activity Log >> Trade Activity tab and did Edit >> Refresh Log, and yet when I do some new trades, the Trade Account Monitor is showing identical values for Daily Profit/Loss and Daily Net P/L. I have read just about every support thread on commissions to see what I'm missing, but I cannot find anything else. What else is needed to get commissions to show up? I am using the Simulated Futures Trading Service. Thanks in advance. |

The Trade Account Monitor fields are not affected by any settings within Sierra Chart. They come from the server. And commission values are set by the broker which are only an estimate and may not be correct.

But you, Sierra Chart, are the "broker" for the Simulated Futures Trading Service, no? If so, what does it take for you to set some sort of commissions on that simulated trading service?

You set the commissions for the "Simulated Futures Trading Service" in the settings for your account. Select "Trade >> Trade Account Monitor/Balances" window, select the account you want to edit, and select "Manage >> Edit Trade Account". On that page, there are two places you can enter commissions and fees. One is at the bottom of the "Main" page as "Trade Fee Per Contract (one side)". The other is on the "Symbol Commissions" page.
