Hello, So far I was using J42 as time reference for last entry but it's not working now and I've noticed that j93 is correct! Which one should be used? (my setup sc2568+IB) Thanks for your help! |

We are not sure exactly what you are asking. We want to point out that in recent releases there was a change to the Spreadsheet Studies where the order of the data in columns I/J changed. But this can be controlled by the Input for "Use Column I and J Values Version 2". We wonder if this is what you are seeing. Refer to the following: Spreadsheet Study Inputs: Use Column I and J Values Version 2 For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

I kept version 1 and use J42 as a reference in my strategy. On Friday, I had a position open and J42 had kept a value from the day before not the one I had just taken. Then after searching what went wrong (beecause my stops did not behaved as they should!), I found out that j93 mentioned the correct value of the last entry (date+time). It seems both J42 and J93 are:"last entry date+time" but they are not always the same value! My question is which one is suposed to be taken into acount to have a reliable "last Entry date+time" j42 or j93? Hope this explains better my issue and question. Thank you for your help. |

J42 is the DateTime of the most recently executed entry order. J93 is the DateTime of the most recently placed pending entry order (BuyLimit, SellLimit, BuyStop, Sell Stop). |

@ Sawtooth,Thank you. J42 is The reference used so far but last Friday it was not working as expected! J93 indicated the right value! My question is why that happened, in what situation this could happen again? Hope this can be solved and/or explained not to have this happen again as it makes my stop not behaving as it should. Thank you. |

Are you using Limit or Stop entries?

Your Limit entry is how J93 got its time stamp. What was the times stamp in J42? Since you use Limit entries, maybe you could use J93 instead of J42, Or use the later of the two. |

J42 had a date from the previous day. Will test the later of the two! I also use stop entries, would that solution work for Limit AND stop entries? Thank you. |

Yes, J93 is the DateTime of the most recently placed pending entry order (BuyLimit, SellLimit, BuyStop, Sell Stop).

what is important to me is having the most recent executed order time , not the pending one. This helps adjusting my stops.

If the pending order DateTime is the later of the executed order DateTime, then you could use it,but actually this should never happen if the pending order is filled. |
