*Not a support request*, just: BEWARE! Rithmic is *even worse* than SC makes it out to be.

Firstly, I'm fully committed to Sierra. There are some things I have on here that would be impossible or at least don't exist on any other platform.
I just paid my money for a so-called funded trading account using SC and necessarily Rithmic data. I know the general consensus even beyond SC's warnings is that Rithmic sucks balls.
So I've been dorking around trying to somehow avoid it but I've got to get this show on the road so I convinced myself "how bad could it be, I'm using it as an excuse" in order to move forward.
Well, I'm now having a reckoning with the Sunk Cost fallacy and think I'm going to have to bail on my first day.
I've already missed like 5 magnificent trades in GC today bc the feed is like a slide show. 5-10 seconds between updates, completely unusable. Like watching a Power point.
I tentatively tried to put a limit order near a value area but before I could even do that, the candle updated and price had already gone through a few rotations but I could never know that from the slowness.
It reminds me of many years ago when i started trading Forex. Especially for news, the data was super laggy and untradable.
So yes, news did just come out but the feed has been consistently laggy since the open.
I'm not hating on Topstep per se, but I doubt the folks in their Discord/ Support forum would know the difference.
It's a shame because I would have gotten my account off to a windfall start today but I can't even put on a trade.
So stay away from Rithmic. It's radioactive. It will hurt you.

Why dont you use denali data with rithmic?
Honestly I can't see a difference whether Im logged in with teton or rithmic.
You dont need to use their data.
Dont fill in your username/email in the market data fields.

Haha, it surely does, this is how most of us (sierrans) play with prop accounts. Their data is poor, to put it gently.

Here is an interesting thread I had saved. Its a good read.
Rithmic eval account

Good luck.

We have access to 300 demo accounts and unlimited resets per account in Sierra Charts at no extra cost!!!

Beats me why anyone would choose to pay for account resets of their demo accounts :-(

LOL- I could have written the first post in that thread.
Looks like I can see some daylight now.
My Stage5 wire has probably gone through by now so I can get down to business.
Thanks for the help everyone.

What we were going to say here is just use the Denali Data Feed which does integrate with Rithmic:

I'm cross-posting this from another thread I just posted to. I've tried everything, every combination yet still nothing is working. Confused and exhausted.
Rithmic eval account post #48.
Is there anything I haven't thought of?

John from SC Support got me sorted. Ultimately it was related to some weirdness in my account's SC Web Portal data feed selection.
Thanks for all the assistance, everyone. =)
