In this section here: Global Profit/Loss Management ...under the Intro, its written "The functionality which is documented on this page, is not recommended to be used. It was developed in response to user requests, but it cannot work reliably on the client side. This functionality is going to be moved to the Teton Order Routing Service and managed on the server side in a highly reliable environment." Did this functionality ever get moved server side? Can you link me to the related help pages. I'm just trying to understand what loss control options are available to me before choosing the one most appropriate. Thanks. |

1. So the current situation is: Global Loss Management is not currently available on Teton using Dorman at present and so we should use the existing Global Profit/Loss Management linked in my first post. Correct? 2. It seems the existing system does NOT take commissions into account when using Daily Net Loss Management. Since for day traders commms can be a significant part of a bad day, could we have a tick box to 'Include Commissions' in the calculation? The Trade Activity Log shows the correct loss incl comms so I'm certain its set correctly in the symbol settings. |

1. Do not use the existing Global Profit/Loss Management feature. It is not supported by us. 2. It should be possible to use commissions but we would have to test but it is just a matter of including commissions in the calculation. I have been using and on two occasions it worked by locking me out/blocking me from trading when my daily loss exceeded $250.

Hi, may I give one new idea for upcoming Risk management tool. I guess we can come up other useful ideas when thinking the tool as a risk management tool and not only loss/profit management tool. 1. One could set 1-3 trading time windows when one is able to initiate trades and outside of that liquidation only or everything flat. Thank you for consideration. |
