one of the drawing tools behaves differently for me on an older version of SierraChart, when compared to how it behaves on a newer version of SierraChart. Is there a way to copy the older implementation of the drawing tool(Gann), and then use it to replace that tool in the new version. (I am currently running two version of Sierra Charts, each with their own folder.)

No there is not. Should not be any difference in behavior with Drawing Tools.

Okay I understand. For my education, Let's say there is a difference. Couldn't I just copy the source code of the indicator from the older version. And compile/build that source code in the newer version, just renaming the tool? |

I am curious. You use the words indicator (i.e. Study) and tool interchangeably. They are not the same. Can you be more specific about what is different between versions? Source code is available for most studies, but not available for tools. Chances are the source code for the studies has not changed between versions, with a few exceptions based on changes to the API. |

Yes the tool/study thing can be confusing for me. I am referring to the Tools-> Draw Volume Profile. Then after I insert this on a chart. If I right click on chart, it lists it as the study VbP. Is source code available for Tools-> Draw Volume Profile OR VbP. |

No. If you look in the study settings window, you will either see a DllName.FunctionName box or you won't. The FunctionName in the box is the name of the Sierra Custom Study Function (SCSF that is searchable in the ACS_Source folder.) No DLLName, no source code. |
