There is a bizarre issue which started in build version 2559 (2558 and before is fine), whereby Drawn Volume Profiles are losing their Drawn status - see detail below: 1) Draw a Volume Profile on a chart using Tools>>Draw Volume Profile 2) Save the Chart / Chartbook using File>>Save All Skip to point 5 if want to get straight to the problem issue. 3) Close Sierra Chart Completely from the main window and when prompted to Save Click either YES or NO, then re-open Sierra Chart and the Chartbook - Everything is fine 4) Close just the Chartbook, leaving Sierra Chart OPEN, and when prompted to Save click NO, then re-open the Chartbook - Everything is fine 5) Close just the Chartbook, leaving Sierra Chart OPEN, and when prompted to Save click YES, then re-open the Chartbook - Every Drawn Volume Profile/VbP Study in the Chartbook permanently loses it's Drawn Status!!! They no longer appear in the Manage Chart Drawings Window, they are not directly selectable on screen, and cannot be selected into a Tool through the DrawingTypeEnum (i.e. DRAWING_VOLUME_PROFILE) in code, presumably losing their AssociatedStudyID's too. Fortunately I've avoided scenario 5 on my Trading machine, but every Drawn Volume Profile/VbP Study in the Chartbook (of which there are quite a few) losing it's drawn status would for me be a real problem! As well as the problems outlined above, I have ACSIL studies that rely upon the Drawn Status/AssociatedStudyID of each VbP Study, and as a consequence of this issue simply no longer work. I suspect most people have avoided this by luck more than anything, probably closing their Chartbooks at the same time as Sierra Chart itself. Could this be looked at please, as it's a potential problem waiting to happen. As I said at the top, the issue first appeared in version 2559 - before that everything was okay. The Volume Graph Period Type of each VbP Study is: 'From Start Date-Time to End' (as I said this is affecting all Drawn Volume Profiles) If you need any more info let me know. Thank you. |
