I have been having issues understanding how to connect the CME live data to my Sierra Charts. I am a non-professional and have a live funded trading account with Tradovate, but I only want to use Sierra Charts for the CME live data and not necessarily to trade, since I use Tradovate to trade. So I just want to make sure im able to get the CME live data without doing extra steps that i dont have to do or pay more than i need to be paying. I would appreciate the help.

The first thing to be aware of is that the CME Group has a requirement that you have a live, funded, futures trading account to which you can connect your Sierra Chart software for verification at least once a month. Refer to the information at the following link: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges In general, your account with Tradovate would qualify, but Tradovate does not allow for Sierra Chart to connect through them, therefore that account will not work for your monthly verification. In this case, we recommend the solution outlined at the followng link: Easy Solution to CME Funded Trading Account Requirement Once you have the above setup, then you would follow the instructions at the following link to setup the CME Group data: Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: CME/CBOT/NYMEX/COMEX Exchanges* For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
