Study/Price Overlay Question - On Bar Close Option?

I have made an attempt to find an answer to this in the documentation, but perhaps I am not looking in the right place.

Is it possible to display only the values of the study overlay (say a moving average from a higher timeframe) only when the last bar has closed?

I thought that that perhaps the "Data Copy Mode" setting of "Use Earliest Value from Corresponding Timeframe" might help, but it did not seem to. I would like the results at each bar close, not the results following while the bar is being formed and the results are in transition and moving up and down.

thank you

I should add as well that the purpose of this is to accomodate an automated spreadsheet trading system.

No. However, if this is for an automated spreadsheet trading system, then you could use the Signal Only on Bar Close inputs. On or alternatively reference the study data one bar earlier.

I do have "Signal Only on Bar Close" inputs but that is only helpful for the chart that is performing the trading.

Is there documentation that would aid me in referencing the bar that has closed/ignoring the forming bar on the referenced chart?

The referenced chart is on the daily timeframe and the primary chart is renko based.

thank you,

[EDIT] The problem that I am having is in backtesting. I can't have the system knowing what happened at the end of the day that it is placing trades in.

So you are overlaying the Daily bars to the Renko bars chart using the Study/Price Overlay study?

yes - I am taking the MA from the chart that contains the Daily bars and using the Study/Price Overlay on the Renko chart to make use of the data in the spreadsheet. If there was a way to simply reference the last bar completed on that chart, it would be wonderful.

This is inherently complicated with Spreadsheets and when using the Study/Price Overlay study.

To do this right it has to be approached completely different. We recommend using ACSIL:

And directly referencing the study from the Daily chart:
