Trading Evaluator service, 2nd instance doesn't display any accounts

Does the trading evaluator service not support multiple instances in some way? I've started a second instance and it shows it's connected, data flows, etc. but it doesn't show any of the accounts, only the sim accounts despite not being in sim mode. Running SC 2540 and for now I can't go newer because of some studies I use.

I stand corrected, data is NOT flowing in the second instance. Historical (intraday) loaded up to the moment the chartbook was opened, but realtime data is not continuing to come down for the second instance, only the main.

Data flows for the second instance if I change the primary to use SC Data - All Services instead, and restart the second instance. But I still can't get intraday realtime data to flow to the second instance if I'm on Trading Evaluator.

If you are using two different computers, then this would be the reason you are having this issue. In the instance where you are not having the data working, please get us the Message Log by following these instructions: Follow the instructions here to clear the Message Log: Message Log: Clearing the Message Log Close all of the Chartbooks with "File >> Close All Chartbooks". Open a single chart for the symbol you have an issue with through "File >> Find Symbol". Tell us that symbol of the chart. Tell us about *one* symbol only. Disconnect from the data feed with "File >> Disconnect". Connect to the data feed with "File >> Connect to Data Feed". After the connection and after about 10 seconds, provide a copy of the Message Log following these instructions: Support Board Posting Information: How to Post Your Message Log (Required In Some Cases) We will then determine what the problem is. The log does not show any issues, in fact it shows that the data should be downloading just fine. Looking through that list, I don't think any of those items apply here. Time & Sales is completely blank, and the trade window shows only sim accounts despite not being in sim. I opened a 3rd instance to check it as well, and still nothing. Only the main instance works, and it seems to work totally fine. I get no error messages, no indications of any kind as to what's going on.

That error you are showing in the last post is not an issue. It comes up if you are running multiple sub-instances, but is not an issue. When you open the sub-instance, are you getting the missing data filled in and then not getting any new data? The Trade Window will show only Sim accounts if your Main Instance is in Simulation Mode. Yes, historical data fills in any time I disconnect and reconnect. Secondary instance is showing sim accounts, primary instance is NOT in sim. I am actively trading in one of my accounts under the Trading Evaluator right now in instance #1, but only see Sim accounts in instances >= #2. |

Just to update, I haven't had time to look into this further but still intend to at some point. I'm stuck on version 2540 for the foreseeable future however due to newer versions breaking compatibility with some studies I need. But I will surely update when I have something new/different to report on this. Thanks.
