I installed version 2552 yesterday (09,30,2023). This was an update to an older version. After install the Message Log is constantly putting up messages constantly, non-stop. I've exited and restarted. I've restarted my computer and still this issues persists. My charts seem to work ok, and the functionality of SC is there, but the message log continues to scroll message non-stop.

What should I do to resolve this?

We need to know what these messages are.

If you are having a problem doing something with Sierra Chart, then in many cases the Message Log will be helpful.

Copy and paste the *entire* copy of the Message Log into your email message or Support Board message according to the instructions below. Sending some of the lines is not helpful. The entire Message Log is needed. The Message Log does not contain any private information.

1. If the Sierra Chart Message Log is not already open, then select "Window >> Message Log" on the menu to open it. If you still do not see the log after selecting this command, then select "Window >> Reset Windows". The Message Log will be displayed in this case. If not, then select "Window >> Message Log" again.

2. Press the "Copy Log" button or use "Edit >> Copy Entire Log" on the menu on the Message Log window. This will automatically copy the Message Log to the system clipboard. Do not use the "Send for Analysis". Otherwise, the log will not be seen.

3. Move your Pointer to the message area either in the email message, Support Board or Account Support Ticket.

4. Right-click your Pointer. Select "Paste" on the menu to paste it into the message area.

I see in the message log that there is a download request for NQ, however, I have no NQ charts anywhere.

Ok we understand what is happening.

First translate the symbols with this Edit menu command:
Edit Menu: Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service

Then go to Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings. And remove the Market Data Username and Password. They are not needed.

Both of these are going to prevent the issue.

The message log continued after completing these steps. I then exited SC and restarted. After that, the message log no longer scrolls constant messages. Thanks for your help.
