I would like to plot the previous Weekly OHLC, using the defined Start Time using the Period OHLC-Variable Period study. Reading the study description, it appears that only works for Minutes\Days. Is there another study available to plot the previous Weekly OHLC using the defined Start Time or a setting that I am overlooking in the Period OHLC-Variable Period study. When Time Period Type is set to Minutes or Days, the time periods for the Open, High, Low, and Close lines are always aligned to the Start Time or the Evening Start Time if using the Evening Session, which is set in the Session Times settings for the chart.

You have us a bit confused, as the "Period OHLC - Variable Period" does not have an Input to set a "Start Time". If you are wanting to have a Weekly Open, High, Low, and Close that starts at a different time than the Session Start Time, then you would need to have a separate chart that has the Start Time set as you want it to be and then you can use the "Period OHLC - Variable Period" on that chart and then overlay that result to the chart you want. Refer to the following: Previous/Period OHLC-Variable Period Chart Session Times Study/Price Overlay Study For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

You are right, there is no input for "Start Time", I was quoting the study page. https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/StudiesReference.php&ID=294#:~:text=Previous%2FPeriod%20OHLC%2DVariable%20Period,both%20Intraday%20and%20Historical%20charts. I have both a Start Time and Evening Time defined. The Weekly appears to be showing the OHLC whenever it occurred and not just using the "Session Start Time". Is this by design? I would prefer not to create a new chart and overlay it, unless that is the only option available. Thanks for your help. |

Jason - I have a suggestion. The fabulous "Price changes per bar" chart type with a 100000000 setting allows you to print a single custom OHLC candle from any start to end time. Just use this chart as a overlay to whatever values you need for reference on your primary chart. It opens the door to infinite possibilities if looking into the past levels is required in your trading strategy. This platform has incredible capabilities for technical/charting analysis !!!!

If you are trying to find OHLC values starting at a time that is different from your Session Start Time, then your options are either to use a separate chart and the "Study/Price Overlay" study, or use a Spreadsheet and enter a formula that controls the timeframe for which you want to find the OHLC data. Refer to the following: Study/Price Overlay Study Using the Spreadsheet Study Spreadsheet Functions: Serial DateTime Values For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
