About 1130am EST one of my versions of Sierra shut down on me. I'm trying to find what happened in the message log but it only goes back to when I opened it back up again. Also, it shut down on me yesterday as well for no reason.
Thanks

Make sure your software is at the latest release, as there have been some changes to fix a particular problem with OpenGL causing a shutdown. Follow the instructions at the following link to update:
Software Download: Fast Update

You would have to enable saving out the Message Log to have the previous one, but it will not have any information for why the software is shutting down on you.

Directly under your main Sierra Chart installation folder (typically C:\SierraChart) you have a folder named "CrashReports". In that folder should be files from when the program crashed. Please attach the most recent file to this thread for us to take a look.

I have updated to current version, but find it odd that I haven't had an issue with my other version.
I can't find a folder named crash report. I do see the exe file but it won't let me run it.

The program runs automatically when you start Sierra Chart, so it is not something you need to start separately.

We'll have to check on why you do not have the folder, given that you have had crashes.

We do not need the crash report. It is very rare that we would use that file. It is a very involved and difficult process to work with that data.

First, we recommend that you enable Safe Mode:
