Hi, A question about the changes in v2547. I understand the release notes re some text on a chart becoming tiny after this release. However, I am also wondering about vertical and horizontal alignment of text used in the chart subgraph output/drawstyle within a study. For a couple of studies that I use where text is inside a subgraph element in region 0, both the vertical and horizontal alignment of the text has changed in v2547. So, where the tezt was intended to be centered within the subgraph element on the chart it is no longer centered. Any advice on what may have changed in 2547 to affect this alignment would be appreciated. |

We need to know the particular Subgraph Draw Style that is used for that text.

I can't speak for the other user, but all the Custom Value at Y drawstyles seem to be aligned differently (at least vertically). Vertical alignment seems to be bottom, where before it was center - can this now be controlled in ACSIL? Also the same with the price axis, axis values seem bottom aligned, but crosshair values and subgraph value labels remain center aligned. In the post about font size handling you mention "This change is going to cause a problem where Chartbooks and global configurations which hold font information, saved in newer versions of Sierra Chart supporting this change and then used in an older versions, will have the fonts appear very small." The same seems to be true opening charts after updating to the new version, certainly the drawstyles mentioned above (and text drawings), the previouly legible text is now microscopic. |

I echo User 907968's comments. I believe the draw style is custom value at Y but since I did not program this study I cannot confirm. However, I can say that all my text displays from study have become microscopic when opening my existing chartbooks in 2547. I use a lot of those text studies to monitor various market stats derived from other studies so it will be a fair bit of work getting everything adjusted again. - eg text that was set at font 16 and 24 beforehand is now unreadable unless it is increased substantially. Also, with the custom studies I have from other developers I do not have the option to increqse text size in the relevant study beyond a certain number, eg 24, so those studies become very hard to read in this new version |

There are two different things being described in this thread. Font sizes is completely unrelated to text positioning. If you have a font size problem disable OpenGL. Apparently there is an issue with fonts and OpenGL. For now just do not use OpenGL. That will resolve the font issue. Vertical alignment seems to be bottom, where before it was center - can this now be controlled in ACSIL?
Yes. There are three different Text related Draw Styles this can be controlled with. Font sizes is completely unrelated to text positioning.
In this case they definitely seem related, why would I say that? Not only is the font sizing corrected when OpenGL is disabled, but also the text positioning is corrected again. Using the platform without OpenGL is not a viable option for me, therefore I will simply revert to an earlier version. It is good to know that there are new alignment controls for various drawstyles, thanks for that, I can see those being rather useful. |

Text positioning related to the Draw Styles controlling the position, is not the problem. We will look into the OpenGL issue.
