Why are these 2 contracts different when they are supposed to be the same?

I have two charts of the same contract open, a 10 min and a 3 min but the global crosshair won't show on both. When I looked at the chart headings they are very different, but when I checked the symbols they are exactly the same contract. Why are these showing different headings for the same contract? Everything appears the same as far as charting and price is concerned, so it was only when the crosshair didn't work on both I noted something was amiss. One has capitals and the other upper and lower case. One is Futures and one is just says CME, but it is the same symbol that I am using for both. Price and charting is identical, it's just the crosshair won't appear on both as it seems them as different contracts. I opened a symbol list for each and set them side by side and copied the headings. You can see the grey highlight shows exactly the same contract but the headings are very different. How come? |

The Global Cursor has not dependency on the symbol. Are you using the "Symbol Cursor"? When using the Global Cursor, you will not see the cursor in another chart is the time where the cursor is placed in the one chart is offscreen in the other chart. With regards to the title bar, you must have the information entered in "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Display >> Title Bar Name" for one of the charts. Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Title Bar Name (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Display >> Chart Display Items menu) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
