Replay issues

I have a intraday chart of the ES Z contract and when I hit Ctrl-R the replay window opens.

My default setting is Single Chart and Accurate Trading...

I then set Start Time equal to 930 am today and hit Play

The replay asks to Clear Trade Data and I select the middle option

The chart rolls back to 930 am.

The Play button immediately becomes active again and the replay stops.

Clicking the Play button causes the replay to start, maybe for one bar, but stops and the Play button becomes active again.

Is there a solution? TY

What is your Bar Period set to and what is the time of the current bar when you last tried to run the replay? Is there any data missing in the chart after 09:30? Or is there a gap in the time after 09:30?

Also, are you specifying a start Date along with the time? If you do not specify a date, then the system will start at the beginning of the data that you have loaded in that chart.

My bar period is 0-0-2. There is data after 930, as usual for the ES.Z I used todays Start Date

I have Skip Empty Periods checked also. Start Paused is unchecked.

The problem seems to have started last Monday after Labor Day

I am currently running v2544

TY for your help.

The Play button immediately becomes active again and the replay stops.
So the chart is no longer replaying? And the last Date-Time in the chart is the current time?

Go through the instructions here and do not specify a starting Date-Time:
Replaying Charts: Basic Chart Replay Instructions

Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart.

Correct, the does not replay at all. The Date and Time I had been trying to use was 2023-09-05 at 9:21:00, I usually start at Speed 5 but even at Speed 1 I get the same result.

I scrolled back to about 10 pm last night and tried the replay without specifying at Date or Time, those were greyed out.

Same issue.

Then I performed an Edit, Delete all data and Reload, started the Replay Panel and got the same result.

TY for your help, I do appreciate it.

UPDATE...

I created a new chartbook without any studies and a 0-0-2 interval.

It replays fine.

This indicates to me the other chartbook is corrupted.

Obviously I have backups in sierra, should I try to rename one of the backups chartbooks and try again?

The problem started a week ago after Labor Day.

Do you have another suggestion?

TY

Please attach the chartbook that is not working so we can take a look. It would be very odd for there to be something in the chartbook that is not allowing a replay to function correctly. Follow these instructions to get us the chartbook:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#AttachFile

It is up to you if you want to go to a backup rather than recreate the chartbook. Refer to the instructions at the following link to get a backup:

What particular Chart Number in that Chartbook did you have trouble with replaying?

Apparently the back up started working fine. I set the Default spreadsheet setting for Use Col I and J to NO before copying a known good back up into Data

Replay is fine too
