Hi, I want to have alert system which are not only price level or volume. Out of many charts I use, I want to have alert system in my footprint chart. I usually use 5 minutes footprint chart and I can see the stack imbalance easily because it has been set quite well. When I want to know if there is stack imbalance in 2 mins, I need to change it to 2 mins chart and if I want to see stack imbalance in 14 minutes chart, I need to change the chart to 14 minutes and so on. But I want to have alert system in 1 min, 2 mins, 3 mins....30 mins charts so that when there is a stack imbalance, it gives me an alert. Is it possible to do and if so how? |

The only way to do this would be to have multiple charts each with a different time period and the Stacked Imbalance setup on it.

Yes exactly. I have a fine chart setting as you told. When I press 1 and enter, it opens 1 minute chart and shows stack imbalances and when I press 2, it shows stack imbalance in 2 mins and 3 mins and 4 mins and n minutes. But I have other profile chart, Am chart, PM chart, candle stick chart, monthly chart, weekly chart, daily chart etc open at the same time. Out of 12 charts I use and open , footprint chart is one of them. So, one footprint chart is open all the time. So, when I have a lot of confluence, I want to check if there is stack imbalance at 1 min or 2 min or 3 min or 17 mins or 22 mins etc. So, I can't open 30 footprint charts at the same and even I can open it, I can't manually check one by one. I do scalping so, if I start to search one by one, I may lose 5-7 minutes and by then, my trade is gone because I do scalping. Example: So, I just want to set alert so that when there is imbalance in 17 mins chart, I can see the alert and go to 17 min chart right away without going through 1 min, 2min, 3 min, 4 mins5, mins and so on. I just want to get a alert saying that there is stack imbalance at 17 minutes chart and I can just go to 17 mins chart and see and just press buy or sell bottom accordingly. I mean I have set the chart already in studies but I need just alert system from 1 to 33 minutes. Without alert system, it is almost impossible. For example, last afternoon, there was stack imbalance in 17 minutes chart and I missed to enter a trade. So, such alert system would really help me. |

You need to have one chart for each time period in which you want to have an alert in your Chartbook. You can hide these charts if you want to save resources (although an additional 5 or 6 charts that are just running the Volume at Price Threshold Alert V2 study is not going to make much difference to the system). Then setup your alerts for each chart and open the Alert Manager (Window >> Alert Manager). When you get an alert, go to the Alert Manager and double click the row that shows the alert. This will take you to that chart. Or you can select the row and then select "GoTo Chart" at the top (either way does the same thing). If the chart was hidden previously, it will then be displayed and you will be taken to that chart. Hi, I want to have a price alert on the phone. Not text message but some kind of ringing tone for 30 seconds or like that. Is it possible? And what are the other options? bR Sushil |

We do not have anything built that will do this. You would have to figure out how to make this happen yourself. You can get the information out of Sierra Chart using our interface language (ACSIL), and then do what you want from there.
