Limit the average of Number Bars

Hello,

I'm using number bars to display the total amount of volume and volume per second traded for each candle. The problem I'm having is I'm trying to color each cell so that its easier to see anomalies but the issue is that the opening of the day is taken into this average and those are extremely high values. Is there a way I can still have the number bars reset at market open but only look back and average 20 or 30 bars? This would greatly help color coding the cells.

Thank You.

There is not an option for coloring the cells based on a certain number of bars. The only options for coloring based on a period is those that are in the Input for "Determine Maximum/Minimum Values for Background From", which are All Data or Daily Data. Refer to the information for this in this section:
Numbers Bars: Numbers Bars Calculated Values Subgraph Descriptions

The only suggestion we can make is to set a top percentage to filter out the large volumes and set the background color to be the same as the background, so it will not be obvious. For instance, set your Percent Compare Thresholds to ".25, .50, .90" and then set the Range 3 Up/Down color to be the same as the background. This way any values greater than 90% of the highest value will not have any coloring. You would have to adjust the actual percentage based on what you see.

Hi John,

Sorry for the late reply. Would it be possible to create a custom study with the Numbers Bars Calculated Values 2 study as a template? I'd like a study that compared the the average given a specified look back and the current price to display a ratio.

As an example, lets say the average volume of the last 25 bars was 3000 and the current bar volume was 7500. It would return a value and 2.5 and we could have that value to spot an anomaly and color it accordingly.

Would this be possible to do and if so could you direct me to the source code for the Numbers Bars Calculated Values 2 study? I've been unable to find it in the ACS_Source folder.

Thank you.

The "Numeric Information Table Graph" is available to be used through ACSIL. Refer to the information here:
