Are successive >'s limited to 3 in spreadsheet studies?

This works:
=AND(ID2.SG1@3>ID2.SG2@3>ID2.SG3@3,ID3.SG1@3>ID3.SG2@3>ID3.SG3@3)
but this doesn't:
=AND(Q3>R3>S3>T3>U3>V3)

The latter is truncated to this:
=AND(Q3>R3>S3)

Please advise.
