Continuous scanning ignoring 'Alert Only Once per Bar'

Hello, As per the Title, I have a simple alert on a study with the Alert Only Once per Bar option selected. When enabling the alert just for one symbol it works as expected alerting only once per bar. However when I use continuous scanning with the chart's associated watchlist it is repeatedly alerting on the same bar, and in fact even ignores the TRUE->FALSE->TRUE requirement for alerting, continuously alerting even if the condition is a repeated TRUE. Is this intended behavior or is there a way I'm unaware of to prevent this? I am guessing that since continuous scanning flips through charts, the study is recalculating on each load hence causing the alert to fire repeatedly? I can use ACSIL to create a custom alert to accomplish what I'd like but it would be a lot easier if the simple study alert way worked. Appreciate your input. Cheers |

It is as you state, when you load a symbol using the watchlist, it is as if the chart is newly opened and does not have any history with regards to Alerts. If you are having an issue where the alerts are not working properly while a single symbol is displayed, then let us know. Otherwise, this is how the system works and it is not something we would expect to change any time soon.
