Why do many of my charts just automatically re-scale themselves from time to time during the day, several times? For instance I have a 24 hr vwap chart that I have to re-adjust to get to the scale I want. Why doesnt it always just stay at the scale I set it at?

Here is the documentation for Scaling: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_Scaling.html From our position it is really hard for us to understand what you are seeing. The default scaling is Automatic, and there will be adjustments to keep the chart graphs within view. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I will have the scale set to 1 pt for instance so it will be 1960-1961-1962-1963 etc along the y axis. then some random time later with the market in same place as it was, the scale will have changed to 2 pts i.e. 1960-1962-1964 etc...

OK, then you will want to fix the Scale Increment. This can be done through the Scale settings window. Refer to the documentation here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_Scaling.html By default the scale numbers are automatically set.
