Hey there, Just a quick question as i couldnt solve this problem myself. I already did look at this page Global Symbol Settings: Update Global Symbol Settings I am using interactive brokers for order execution and your denali datafeed: nasdaq totalview. So i understood that i have to write ex. [Symbol] -NQTV but when i try to trade from the charts it wont go though interactive brokers.( because of the added line "-NQTV". May you help me to sort it out? I noticed, normal ticker name (AMD) has delayed data, is that correct? If i add -NQTV its realtime. It would be great if you could help me trading -NQTV symbol types though interactive brokers. Greetings

You need to use the "Trade and Current Quote Symbol" and enter the symbol that is necessary for Interactive Brokers in there. You will also want to enable the option for "Use as Trade Only Symbol". Refer to the information here: Chart Settings: Trade and Current Quote Symbol (text box) (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol menu) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing

Thanks, is there a global setting for it so i dont need to do it for every ticker?

The only option is to add a "Trade and Current Quote Symbol" to the Symbol Settings. This way when you select the specific symbol, the Trade and Current Quote Symbol will be filled in. I had a DLL created and uploaded by someone to convert NQTV to -STK-SMART-USD so that we could link and trade various symbols on the same chart. Are you saying that is not needed and we can use the native chart functionality? From the chart setting documentation, you state: for the symbol pattern -NQTV you can set Trade/Quote Symbol to -STK-SMART-USD. I've tried this with no luck. SPY_MBO symbol with the 'trade and current quote' setting to **-STK-SMART-USD. any suggestions? thanks

I am trying to get the trade and Current Quote Symbol to auto-update based on the symbol above. Attached screen shot to shows an example. I have my charts linked to a quote board so I want the Trade symbol to update when I change the Quote symbol.

There is no support for placeholder characters with the "Trade and Current Quote Symbol". The only option is to add symbol settings for the symbols you want and add a specific "Trade and Current Quote Symbol" entry. Thanks for all these helpful responses. I ve downloaded a .dll file from another user. Its a custom study which automatically adds the line [Symbol]-stk-smart-USD (for interactive brokers)
