Label column not displayed on destination chart when using Study/Price Overlay Study

I have created a study on a 5min Candlestick chart of ES that I would like to overlay onto a Footprint (Number Bars) chart.

When I created the study on the Candlestick chart (source), I chose to have it display the Value Label on the Right Side Values Scale and the Name Label in the Label Column. I am using the Study/Price Overlay Study to overlay this study on my Footprint Chart (destination). I am using the default settings for Study/Price Overlay Study on my destination chart. It displays the Value Label correctly on the Right Side Values Scale of my destination chart, but does not show the Name Label at all, let alone in the Label Column. When I go to the Subgraphs tab in the Study Settings for the Study/Price Overlay Study on my destination chart, I see the settings copied over from my source chart to display the Name Label appropriately, but again, it is not displayed.

I could not find any settings to force the display of the Label Column on my destination chart, so at this point I am stuck. I cannot find any guidance in the documentation or an existing Support Board post either. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

We are not seeing any issue with this.

Is the Label Column displayed on the destination chart?

Is the "Study/Price Overlay" being put into Region 1 (the main Price Graph region)?

Thanks for your reply.

No, the Label Column is not displayed on the destination chart despite the fact that the Subgraph > Name Label settings for the Study/Price Overlay Study are copied over to the destination graph as I’d expect.

Study/Price Overlay Study is assigned to Chart Region 1 on the destination graph, and is also assigned to that Region on the source graph.

If the Label column is not displayed then it is not possible to see the display of the data that is set to display in that column. Turn on the Label Column in the destination chart to be able to see the information.

Thanks John.

It’s surprising that the Label can be displayed successfully in the Label column on the source graph but not on the destination.

In terms of forcing the display of the Label column on the destination graph, I could not find any entries in the documentation that explain how to do that. Please note, I am not using the DOM. I am just trying to see the Label column for the price axis.

If you have time to point me to the documentation that explains how to force the display of the Label column, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks again.

We think you may be confused on how the Label column works. Either that, or we are talking about very different things.

In the DOM (Chart or Trading) there is a column that can be turned on, that is the "Label" column. It is not displayed automatically when you set something to be displayed in it. You have to specifically set it to be displayed through the "Trade >> Customize Chart/Trade DOM Columns". In there is an item on the left for "Label Column". Select it and move it to the right to have it displayed. Refer to the information here:
Global Trade Settings Windows: Customize Chart/Trade DOM Columns (Chart Specific)

Once you have the Label Column displayed, then anything that is set to show up in it will be shown.
