Preventing filled orders from being deleted from Trade Orders window in sim mode

From what I could gather here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/TradeStatusWindows.html#AutoClearingOrders, it looks like in simulation mode, orders that are filled or cancelled are immediately removed from the Trade Orders window and, therefore, are unavailable to look up using sc.GetOrderByIndex etc. My ACSIL trading study requires checking the status of order fills to work correctly. Simply tracking total position size is not sufficient. Is there any way to have orders be preserved for 20 minutes after fill/cancellation during replay/simulation like they are for live orders? I need to test the order-tracking parts of my code before I can go live with it. Thanks. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2023-07-28 21:13:59

Any update? I'm finding it to be a lot of coding work to track various order fills after the orders have been deleted. This would be a trivial task if the orders weren't deleted in simulation mode. Thanks.

After many false starts, I was able to work around the deleted orders using sc.GetOrderFillEntry(), which is pretty easy to implement. So you can consider my request closed if you'd like. Thanks. |
