sierra chart will not open

When I click on the icon, my mouse changes to include the blue spinner for a second then changes back to normal pointer. Nothing else happens, no sierra chart windows are displayed.

-I have tried opening directly for the .exe in sierra charts folder, same results.

-I notice sierra chart does pop up in the task manager for a second, then disappears from there as well.

-updating to prerelease did not change anything.

Not that I am aware of. I do not have any third party security software installed. I have excluded sierra chart from windows as detailed here: High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often: 30.8 - Antivirus/Anti-Malware Software

The only thing we can think to try would be to install another copy of Sierra Chart in a different folder and see if that installation runs properly. Refer to the following instructions to install a second Sierra Chart:
Using Multiple Data and Trading Services at the Same Time: Step-By-Step Instructions to Install Multiple Copies of Sierra Chart

Do not copy any files from your first installation, just try to run the software from the new installation and see what occurs.

If it does not run, then it is something in your setup that is stopping the software.

If it does run, then we will have to look into your existing installation to see what might be the cause.

Called and connected with customer. Their Sierra4.config file was corrupted and causing the issue. Replaced the file with a backup from a few days ago and everything is working fine.
