I read that the Reset Condition On New Bar option in the Alerts tab has no effect on the condition for Trading System Based On Alert Condition study. Is this correct? I have this checked and still get many, many "Formula is Not True. Formula State has not changed" messages. The Condition can only be reset for Spreadsheet based trading systems? Thanks |

The Trading System by Alert Condition visually shows the system triggering on each new bar that meets the Formula = True condition. However, the trades do not execute unless the formula state has changed from True to False and back to True. True and then True again on the next bar does not trigger a new trade, even though the visual representation shows that it should trigger. Why is there an inconsistency between the visual representation and the trades that execute? Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? If it is not a bug, how come it is not a bug? Thanks |

If you are seeing the visual cue for a trade, then a trade should be occurring. Are you getting any trades? Are you not getting additional trades because you would exceed the Maximum Positions Allowed in the study? Make sure the Inputs for the study are set in a way that ensures that you should get the trade. If you still do not, then check your Message Log and your Trade >> Trade Service Log to see what it states as to why you did not get that trade.
