spreadsheet data output on another study spreadsheet

Hello, I would like to be able to have the spreadsheet study data on another study spreadsheet (displayed the same way as a regular study) when you tick "include in Spreadsheet", include in "Study summary". But it is not working as I expected and therefore, I do use another study overlay for the same graph where I want the data to be overlayed to another spreadsheet study. Is this the intended behaviour or should I proceed another way, my concern being adding to the time calculation for,I believe, no reason! Thank you for your help. Paul |

The Spreadsheet Studies do not show the information from another Spreadsheet Study. But to get that data into another spreadsheet you have a few options. 1) Use the same Spreadsheet file, but use a different Sheet Number for the second copy of the Spreadsheet Study. Then you can reference the data from the other sheet. Refer to the following: Working with Spreadsheets: References to Other Sheets within a Spreadsheet 2) Use the "Subgraph Reference" study to get the one spreadsheet subgraph to the second spreadsheet (rather than the Study/Price Overlay). Use multiple copies of this study for each subgraph you want. You can hide these studies. The Spreadsheet System/Alert Study does output data from the Spreadsheet Study. This is a configuration you can use. But apparently it is not possible, for a Spreadsheet Study to output data from another Spreadsheet Study. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Thank you, To John, I do use option 1 often, and option 2 is ok for few subgraphs but when you need 50 of them, it's not easy to manage but (calculation cost seems to be = 0, it's not the case with the study price overlay)! To SC Engineering: would it be possible to make it work in a future version? I use that when I want to mix different types of calculations and behaviours to the main spreasheet study in wich I have a trading spreadsheet + different regular spreasheet studies in the same and "main" spreadsheet/Trading study. Thank you. |

The Spreadsheet Study study is the only spreadsheet study whose subgraphs can be seen by other studies. The Spreadsheet System for Trading and the Spreadsheet System/Alert studies' subgraphs cannot be seen by other studies. |
