Hi,

I would like to make a suggestion about the platform. I believe there should be an option to display the POC and VA High/Low for all the volume profiles calculated and not just for the last profile.

Thanks

You will get this when you use the Volume Value Area Lines study.

And also when using the Volume by Price study it can be set to highlight and also show the values for the Point of Control and Value Area Lines for each profile. Here is the documentation for this:

You're right, I hadn't noticed that. However, there's one more issue that I forgot to mention in my original post. Is it possible to display the volume profile values or the values of any other indicator on the Chart Values panel using the crosshair?

For the Volume by Price study you can display the volume numbers on each bar with the Display Volume in Bars study Input.

The values of other studies can be seen in the Chart Values windows. Refer to the documentation here:

Even though I have selected all the options in the Volume Profile Subgraphs options tab in order to display the POC and VA High/Low only the POC is displayed in the chart/tool values window. Moreover, Is it possible to display the indicator values in the status bar, the red highlighted area in the image that I uploaded?

In the next release we will add support to display the Volume by Price VA High/Low in the Chart Values windows.

The status bar is something that eventually will be removed. There are no plans to do anything further with it. You really need to use the Compact Tool Values Window or the Chart Values Window which are designed for indicator values:

I'm glad to hear that Volume by Price VA High/Low will be displayed in the Chart/Tool Values Windows in the next release. Regarding the status bar, I believe that you should not remove it but extend its functionality instead, in order to display the indicator values supplementary to the Tool Values Window.

Support, you wanted to remove the Status Bar in the past and many users balked so you kept it. I don't think that desire has changed. It is unobtrusive, unlike the Compact Tool Values Window which must be parked in the header otherwise it is always in the way of something.

Here are my suggestion:
1) Put the OHLCVT values at the crosshairs in the Region 1 Chart Header, (not just the right-most value).
2) In other Regions, put the studies values at the crosshairs in the Region Data Line (not just the right-most value).

This would allow you to remove the Status Bar without forcing users to the Compact Tool Values Window, and it would allow users to avoid the Chart Values for Tools window that must also be parked somewhere so it is not in the way of something.

I 2nd the vote for not removing the status bar...not really sure what the benefit would be for doing that since it can already be hidden for those that don't like it. I use it as well as the connection status/color.

The problem with the Status Bar that it is not easy for us to work with. It is known as a MFC component which does not give us the ability to color-code it freely and the very left side of it has a small sub window which cannot be completely hidden. It might also have some dependency on the registry which can cause stability issues with it.

It is also integrated with the main window. Chart values need to be specific to individual charts. So eventually the Status Bar will go. From our perspective it is considered a crude and outdated item.

The main thing is we need to put the data feed status on to the ToolBar and the new ToolBar we will develop will have that. This is the reason why it has not gone earlier.

This is a good idea and we have considered this, and we will implement it:

Here are my suggestion:
1) Put the OHLCVT values at the crosshairs in the Region 1 Chart Header, (not just the right-most value).
2) In other Regions, put the studies values at the crosshairs in the Region Data Line (not just the right-most value).

In some cases I only want the point of control to be displayed without the volume bars. I've tried to set the option "Draw style" in the subgraphs tab to "Ignore" for the subgraphs "Value area high value", "Value area low value", "Volume bars outline and fill colors" and "Value area and outline" but that didn't work. So, is there a way to hide volume bars? If not, it would be nice to have an option "Display bars" or "Display volume bars" in the "Settings and inputs" tab.

There is no way to hide the volume bars unless you set the color for them to the same color as the chart background color.

However, if you just want to see the Point of Control use the Volume Value Area Lines study.
