Hi.

I have my main instance Intraday Data Storage Time Unit set to 1 Tick, so is the second one. I want to have a third instance set to 1 sec, possibly 1 min to lighten the load off of main instance. I followed the instructions in the pinned posts how to do that.

However every time I open the third instance and check, it reverts back to 1 tick storage. Even after I saved it several times. Is it a bug? How can I check if the third instance is indeed running data storage of 1 sec? I'm on version 2504.

Thank you.

In case you are using footprint charts (Numbers Bars), check the following setting that can affect/override the Data Storage unit you set in the Data Trade Service settings:

Numbers Bars: Require 1 Tick Intraday Data Storage Time

Hope this helps.

Yes, that is the relevant setting. Thank you.

Also check this setting and make sure it is No:
General Settings Window: Always Copy Configuration Files to New Instances When Started (Global Settings >> General Settings >> General >> New Instances)

The Numbers bars seemed to cause the issue.

Also check this setting and make sure it is No:

I don't have this setting. Under General settings> General I only have Update internals, Startup and Data.

Thank you both.
