Symbol Settings - Multiple Matches - Priority?

I want some custom settings applied to all my NQTV symbols so I configured a ~-NQTV "symbol setting" and set my desired custom options.

I find that my settings are not getting applied as the settings in the already existing stock symbol setting (e.g. AAPL-NQTV) are overriding it.

How can I get my wildcard to take priority over the individual stock settings?

Yes this is true.

Thinking about how the symbol settings work, there really is not a way around this. You really have to define settings for each individual symbol but you can edit the XML file directly:

Thanks. This is what I did eventually as a workaround hoping there was a better solution.

My concern is that any update will overwrite the settings. I suppose I could copy the settings into the CustomSymbolSettings xml file. Would that make it permanent?
