Hi Support

I keep getting an issue where I 'save as' and the chart name changes... everything looks fine. I close Sierra and reopen. I go to open the chart by selecting File, then it is showing in the drop down list of last opened files. I select it and nothing opens - it's actually not saved and there is no saved file in the data folder.

I have lost several hours of work despite having auto save set to yes and every 30 mins.

I search in my C drive for the file name and it has not been saved anywhere.

It's happened three times over the past week. It's killing me. I am selecting to save manually and the app freezes showing it is downloading data so I close it (after leaving it a couple of hours). But I did the save as and new file name is 100% showing at the top of the instance and it's in the recent file dropdown.

Any help would be much appreciated

The only thing we can think is that your drive is full. Check the space available on your drive and make sure it is not full.

I also keep getting the message in the message logs;

Chart #1 had tagged chart #3 for recalculation... is that anything to do with the issues as it is miss timing trades on replay - chart 3 has a study that is overlayed in chart 1?

Much appreciated

Hi Support

This has just happened again... new chart title is showing in recent files list - I KNOW beyond a shadow of doubt that is Saved As then Saved All a few times (as I put a lot of hours into this chart and saved manually throughout to avoid this issue).

My C drive has plenty of space.
I have updated the version since this issue a couple of weeks ago to ensure the install was clean.
My charts have been running fine and CPU usage is not high... I only had this chart open and reduced the data history down to a couple of days to enable quick updating.
I can find the file anywhere in my drives despite the fact Sierra remembers the name of it in recent files.

Incredibly frustrating given I saved it multiple times.

Any ideas what the issue could be?

Thank you

Cad

Looking in the data file it has not saved anything all day - charts or stop config files... despite myriad manual saves. It is saving the names of things on the sierra instance but nothing is being written to the C drive in any folder or temp file - I have no idea how it can still show the name in the 'recent charts' list on the instance???

Select "Global Settings >> General Settings" and go to the "Paths" page on the General Settings Window. In there is an entry for "Data Files Folder". Please give us the exact location that is entered for this setting.

Also, let us know what the setting for "Always Use 'Data' Folder Within Main Folder" is set to (it is right below the above setting).
