Hi, Could you please help me identify how to clean up my trade activity log notes for trades taken? Right now all my trades are automatically entered through various studies (ACSIL). All my entries have this set in ACSIL: NewOrder.TextTag = "Inside bar breakout";
(with attached stop and target)I've defined a TradeTag for the orders (in this example the trade tag is "Inside bar breakout". My goal is to be able to sort the trade activity log by Tag, but Sierra creates all these Attached order tags (lots of them!). The attached image shows a selection of the notes in my trade activity log. This makes it not possible to sort by strategy/study. How can I make all entries under the trade tag ("Inside bar breakout")? The list is full of entries like Attached order. Parent XXXX. Tag: Inside bar breakout

In this case Text Tag goes to the Trade Activity Note field. In the case of an attached order we can see additional text is added. Otherwise, Note field is exactly the text tag.

Thank you for your reply! The Note field in the trade activity log is correct. Is there anything I can do to align this in the statistics overview as well? Any ACSIL setting to make sure the attached stop/target orders get the same Note? Since that's the only way to sort and see statistics within Sierra Chart, without having to export to another (paid) service to get the same statistics sorted by "Note". On another note, if you want to level-up your statistics overview in the trade activity log, being able to select multiple choices in the drop down-menus would make it really useful. For instance when you have trades across several contracts (if you want statistics for all ES trades for the whole year across all the contract rollovers etc). |
