i have setup intra-day chart with bar period type set as number of trades per bar

I would like the bar to be colored a different color when a new session starts or a session ends

Ex.:
When Asia session starts i want the bar to be colored red and when Asia session ends i want the bar to be red
When Europe session starts i want the bar to be colored yellow and when Europe session ends i want the bar to be yellow
When US session starts i want the bar to be colored blue and when the US session ends i want the bar to be blue

How can i set the charts to display the above?

You can do this with the Time Range Highlight study:
Time Range Highlight

Or look at using the Color Bar Based on Alert Condition study:

You need to use the Color Bar Based on Alert Condition then. Refer to the following:

Ok i figured how this works and set it up on the main instance of sierra chart

While trying this on the other instance of sierra chart this study did not work

i did the simple test that is mentioned in the study document "The very first formula you should use to simply see how this study and how formulas work is =1 or =TRUE. This will color the bars or background in the chart and then you can go from there to a more advanced formula." When i did this the bar colors do not change. In the main instance when i did this test all bars colors had changed

There is not a built-in tool that will give you this number.

You could create a custom study to do this. Refer to the following:
