I am trying to test Sierra’s Trading System – Study graph crossover. The crossover I am testing is Moving Linear Regression crossing Volume Move Adjusted Moving Average.
The buy and signals are fine using the trading system. I need help using the Trade Management by study. I have used 2 separate ones for Target and Stop but these are not appearing on the chart during backtesting (when targets and stops are entered on the trade window they do). I probably have the wrong settings.
To set a target I have selected the trading system subgraph “Sell” and the trailing offset is specified in ticks. As I have all positions selected I am guessing the target will work for both longs and shorts or do I need separate TMBS files for long and short targets?

A related question on the target is if I wish to specify a target in terms of a slope change for the MLR (which is generating the signal by crossing over the volume adjusted MA). So MLR with the first cross enters a position and exits that position on slope change instead of waiting for another crossover. How can I set this up using TMBS

For the stop, I have chosen controlling subgraph = Buy and set the trailing offset but again this is not appearing during the backtest

What you are trying to do is not how the "Trade Management by Study" works. The "Trade Management by Study" allows you to change the position of an existing Stop and/or Target to a different location based on the value of some other study.

In order for the "Trade Management by Study" to work, you would have your "Trading System - Study Graph Crossover" such that you have the "Trading Window" setup to include "Attached Orders" so they are placed with the initial order. Where you place these attached orders is not terribly important if you are going to control them with a "Trade Management by Study".

Ahead of placing the above order you would setup the "Trade Management by Study" to control either the Stop or Target (or a study for each). For example, maybe you want to have Stop that moves with the Volume Weighed Average Price, so you would have a study for the VWAP on the chart and the "Trade Management by Study" would reference the "VWAP" for the Stop, so the Stop will keep adjusting to the position of the VWAP.

All of this is covered in the documentation for the study here:
Attached Orders: Study Controlled Targets and Stops
