When I use "flatten" on the Sierra DOM to get out of a trade, IB cancels my orders which are already with their server and leaves me in the position without my resting orders. Suggeestions?

If you are talking about cancelled bracket orders, then first off, make sure "Total Value Limit" and "Size Limit" values are properly set for your order size in “Precautionary Settings” in TWS for the given symbol. SC sends Flatten order for your entire position (if you have bought or sold 10 contracts subsequently, e.g. one-by-one, then "Flatten" order size would be 10 units).

The Flatten button will also cancel all of the orders that are open , for the account which is selected on the Trade Window. Here is the documentation for it: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_TradeWindow.html#FlattenCxl Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
