greetings

I am trying to run an Auto Trade System Replay Back Test for the Bitmex XBTUSD pair.

The range I am using has a start date of 12-22-01 at 6:00 p.m.; but at the time of playing, the graph starts running from March 23, 2023.

I have already updated the intraday data file and have a chart on a 4 hour time frame starting on November 22, 2022, however the problem starts when starting the Back Test.

Could you help me?

From what you state, you are setting the start date for the back-testing to December 22, 2001 at 6:00pm. But you state that you only have data that starts on November 22, 2022. You can not start a back-test/replay for a point in time prior to where you have data. You would have to load the data into the chart that goes back to 2001 (if this is even available) and then you can start the back-test at that time.

As you can see in the image, the furthest date from which I try to do the back test is 2022-12-01, it was a writing error, the previous message.

The central issue is that I need to know how to run a BT for a period greater than 30 days, since when I try to do it, the graph only starts from 30 days ago, despite the fact that the age I request is greater.

As I explained in the first message, I already downloaded enough data, but the process doesn't work for me.

Please help

One of the things we see is that you have the option for "Start Paused" selected. Therefore, you would have to select "Play" twice to actually get things going.

But otherwise, as long as you have data that goes back to December 1, 2022 in the chart, then there should not be an issue.

What kind of trading system are you testing - a Spreadsheet Study, one of the built-in systems or custom study?

We are wondering if it is a custom study if there may be something in the study that is causing an issue.

Thanks for your prompt reply, John.

Yes, it is a custom study.

I would appreciate if you could give me some guidance on this, please.

First remove all studies from the chart and see if you have a problem.

Are all of the days that you want to replay in the chart actually in the chart? You can scroll back and look.
