Help with spreadsheet functions

Hi I am trying to build a spreadsheet that calculates autocorrelation however I am having issues implementing the formula required to generate it. The formula requires an average to be calculated and subtracted from numbers in a range in a SUMPRODUCT function, =SUMPRODUCT(E3:E15-AVERAGE(E3:E16), E4:E16-AVERAGE(E3:E16)). However I cannot appear to be able to get this to work in Sierra Charts spreadsheet, it works in excel fine. Do spreadsheets not support this type of function within a function? Find attached in the text doc the details output for the formula. Any help on the matter would be much appreciated.

The problem is this particular entry: E3:E11-AVERAGE(E3:E12) And others like it. You can not subtract a single value that results from the Average from a range. We are very surprised that this works in Excel, but we did try it and it does do it - but the Sierra Chart Spreadsheet can not do this. You would have to subtract the Average from each item in the Range first and have that in another column, then you can perform the SUMPRODUCT() on the new set of Ranges. Thanks for the reply, I have managed to do it this way but it isn't quite as elegant. Is there any chance that Sierra might add a built in autocorrelation function at some point?

There is always a chance, but it is not going to be something that would happen anytime soon. And we can't say that it will ever occur.
