[Programming Help] - Can ACSIL intervene between a manual market order and it reaching the exchange?

Hello, can ACSIL intervene between a manual market order and the order being placed with the exchange? Example: - I market buy manually from the chart. - ACSIL checks my order for errors: - - ACSIL finds no issue and sends it to the exchange. - - or ACSIL finds an issue and doesn't send it to the exchange. I would like to check for correct instrument, correct quantity, correct OCO SL/TP before hitting the exchange. I can't just poll GetOrderForSymbolAndAccountByIndex because market orders would have gone through to the exchange already. Thank you |

Hello, Not to my knowledge, but I may be wrong I'm not an engineer at SierraChart. On the other hand, you can program a study so that it adds to the menu of the right click, an entry to buy or sell in limit or in stop. And it is this study that will do the verification, and then create a final buy or sell order if the verification is passed. Another solution, which can also create a clickable area with several keyboard shortcuts (streamdeck or other), with the mouse pointer you have the price, and with a left click or another keyboard shortcut, you place the order to enter . You can accomplish this, if you develop an ACSIL study, which uses the interfaces described here: Advanced Custom Study Interaction With Menus, Control Bar Buttons, Pointer Events And use one of those interfaces to submit the order, then you can provide the checks on it ahead of time before it is submitted by the custom study itself.
