Dear Sierra Chart, Not sure why this is happen, but some of the market orders traded are showing as market depth Numbers. Normally the Market Depth Historical Graph works really well, not sure why the liquidity is being overwritten with market orders traded. Yor help is always much appreciated. Kind Regards Stephen |

We are not sure what you are referencing. It looks like you have a Large Volume Trade Indicator study on your chart, which is what the colored circles are representing. We are not sure exactly where the numbers next to the circles is coming from - either another Large Volume Trade Indicator, or the Numbers Bars Study. But again, what, or where, is the particular issue with the Market Depth Historical Graph? Hi John. Yes, I do have a large volume traded study also, but the limit bid/offers column(far right) is showing a 434 (Limit order)at price 4116.75 and a 274 limit order at 4117.50. These were not limit orders but large volume traded at these levels. The market orders traded are in the cells in the footprint and the blue/red circles display large traded volume for trades > 40. The 274 and 434 are showing as blue color variations (bid limit orders) should not lie in-between where the offers in (red) are. The limit orders above (offers) should be shades of red whilst the bids below in shades of blue. I get that the limits orders move up and down depending on price but I checked on the DOM and at that time there was no 274 and 434 limit offers resting on the book. What is strange is that the DOM was showing 434 and 274 as market trades not limit orders. Thanks. Kind Regards Stephen |

What makes you say this? The 274 and 434 are showing as blue color variations (bid limit orders) should not lie in-between where the offers in (red) are. The limit orders above (offers) should be shades of red whilst the bids below in shades of blue. To begin with, the Market Depth Historical Graph can show Bids in the Ask area and Asks in the Bid Area. It just depends on which one happens to have the larger value at that time and at that price. It is somewhat rare, but it can occur. Refer to paragraph 4 of the following: Market Depth Historical Graph: Block Coloring Logic Next, what column were you viewing that had these numbers in them? Hi John, Okay, but if the bids moved up then the new area occupied by offers beforehand, would now populate with bids limit orders that would be colored shades of blue as I've specified in Range (0-3) bid min/max within the settings. Not sure why we would you have a bid nested in the middle of offers and visa-versa, unless it overwrite the limit offer at that price. The Market Depth Historical Graph column normally only shows me the resting bid/offers the liquidity, the blue bids the 274 and the 434 was actual market traded volume hitting the bids that were showing as bid limit orders nested between the offers. Okay I'll look to see the possible cause, and thanks for your help. Kind Regards Stephen |
