John, What I don't get is if you can give me charts on ICE's DX future, albeit 1 full day lag, why can't you support it. Obviously, you have done something so that I get mkt profile charts, time charts etc all fine and dandy. So why then can't we trade it? Looking at all the obscure things you do support I can't believe the dollar index isn't one of them. Thanks, I just don't get how I can see these types of charts attached, yet cannot trade it... sigh Karen Date Time Of Last Edit: 2023-03-31 07:56:39

In terms of supporting the real-time data from the ICE, it is just very expensive and we do not have enough people asking for it to make it worth our time. We are not sure what you are asking in terms of "Trading" the DX. The Teton Order Routing Service only has support for the CME Group. But you could always setup another account to trade the ICE using either CQG or Rithmic for your order routing. You may even be able to do this with the same broker you are using for the Teton Order Routing. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

oh yea I know I can trade it thru Edge with CQG but then that means paying for a whole another trading and charting platform. That's crazy...oh well sigh

Why would you need another trading system? You can still use Sierra Chart with CQG and get the ICE data from CQG. You would just want to have another Sierra chart installation to manage the different trading accounts. wait, you mean I can have my SC charts be accurate and live? All it means is that I have to execute on another platform?

You do not need to execute on another platform. If you are able to get the data from CQG and use them for trading the ICE, then you can do all of this from within Sierra Chart. You can bring in the ICE data from CQG and you can place trades with CQG. ok, maybe I understand finally. Are you saying I will 'buy' the data only from CQG? I don't have to have a completely new charting system? The data from CQG comes in and fills my SC charts with data to run them? Sorry if I am being my usual blond self but I didn't understand(and may still not get this), but I am taking away that cqq will power my charts on SC? When it comes to executing tho would I be able to use SC? So IF I understand this right my SC will have two feeds coming into it? Actually, 3 as I will have Daneli, I will have All Service which powers the crypto perp contracts at BMEX, and I will CQG. Is this right? |

Yes, you have this right. You can get the data from both the Denali Exchange Data Feed for the CME Group and get the CQG data for the ICE. And you can execute trades for either one with CQG. -- Separately, if you are wanting to get the data for BitMEX and not have to switch your services, then we recommend using a second installation of Sierra Chart. That way you can keep one connected to CQG and the other connected to "SC Data - All Services" (for your Crypto data). Refer to the following for how to install a second Sierra Chart: Using Multiple Data and Trading Services at the Same Time: Step-By-Step Instructions to Install Multiple Copies of Sierra Chart For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

ok we are almost there...so what would be the reason to keep Denali data if CQG is the one that I am going to execute with? Why not have all data come thru on cqg? Does that make sense? If cqg does Dx and everything else, well then why bother with CME too? sorry, but that seems like duplicating data. Thank you for your patience |

We do not support data for The CME Group and EUREX from CQG. So you have to use the Denali data for either of these exchanges. Other exchanges (like the ICE) we do support the CQG data.

ok, I finally see the whole picture. So I would have my Denali charts and dom for things like es, nq, ultra, and micro btc on one installation of SC. I would chart and execute on Denali The second installation is what I have with 'all service'. There is no execution, but it's where I have all my Bimex crypto perp charts. A third installation of SC would then be needed IF I want to trade DX on the ICE. The data would come from CQG. The charts would be created on this installation for DX, and it is where the trading Dom for that would be too. Also, IF I wanted to add Brazil bonds I then would be able to do this on this installation. Is that correct? phew...I am sure you are well bored of this thread hahaha thanks mate!!!! |
