Hi,

I previously have been connected to live SPX data but I do not seem to be able to do this again.

I have sufficient funds.

I followed this path Home >> (Table of Contents) Account Control Panel / Purchase Services >> Account Control Panel >> Exchange Data Feed Features and set the number of symbols to 250 and tried to activate it that way.

I have read several of your support threads with this issue and have followed your previous instructions however I end up at this page which tells me to use Denali https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php#SetupInstructions.

I am subscribed to Denali and use the CME products but I cannot find where to subscribe to SPX real time data.

Can you please provide the exact method in how to do this as the current material is very confusing.

Thank you

You can not setup the old "U.S. Equities" exchange any further. You will need to use the NASDAQ TotalView exchange that we have available through our Denali Exchange Data Feed. Follow the instructions at the following link:

What is the exact symbol you want real-time data for?

Yes you do have the NASDAQ TotalView exchange enabled. But this is for stocks.

We understand that you want:

SPX real time data.

For now use the symbol SPX500.

Until we have the new NASDAQ global indices data feed available in April.

Yes I want to use SPX real time data.

Can I just switch my $INX chart to SPX500 or do I need to sign up somewhere else for it?

My developer pointed out that he still has $INX running on his end and it has price exactly the same as TWS but when he compares price against SPX500 it is out by a couple of points.

From what I can gather you are switching the way you are providing the SPX realtime data and something new will be out in April.

I can deal with the slight inaccuracy of SPX500 for now but I just want to confirm that whatever is provided in your release in April will have accurate data like $INX did?

It will not be an exact match. It comes from NASDAQ and it is a NASDAQ provided equivalent of the S&P 500 index. More information will come out in April.

NASDAQ has a document, and we will provide this at some point, that shows their calculation correlates nearly exactly to the S&P 500 cash index. Although the price is different. However, the the trends, and pattern are the same.

I have Denali data feed CME. I pasted what i see on my datafeed service list. I am looking for SPX live data. Can you let me know what i need to do, data feed-wise, also pulling up the symbol in the chart. Thank you so much.
I am curious is this also for live data on stocks?

We no longer offer the "NASDAQ Global Indices" exchange, so that is not the correct selection.

We now have the "CBOE Indices" which has an SPX symbol. Follow the instructions at the following link to setup the data for the CBOE Indices:

And just to be clear, there is no free-version of SPX for us? I dont plan on trading it, I just want to overlay the SPX price over ES. Thank you for the update John, you rock man

Definitely no. The exchange does not provide this data free. There is an exchange fee and we also pay substantial fees to CBOE for this data.
