This a general DLL trust question: Can a third party dll be written so that if activated, the dll could access a users account information? Are the DLL's that are activated with "Sierra Chart credentials" firewalled in anyway? and Are there any threats possible from using third party dlls? Can you elaborate? |

What specific account information? Certainly a DLL can contain all kinds of threats. It has full access to the operating system. It can even submit orders into your trading account if Sierra Chart is connected to a trading service, but you can disable that through locking trading and putting Sierra Chart into Trade Simulation Mode. In general though the Sierra Chart community is not a place where malicious DLLs are going to be present. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
