Hi

Is there any way to see an "Account Performance chart" or "Chart trading log"?
As NinjaTrader 8 Account Performance Type
https://ninjatrader.com/support/helpGuides/nt8/accountperformance_analysis.png

Now that many platforms are evolving to more "visual" and "online" or "mobile" oriented aspects... it would be interesting to know if SierraChart is working on any such evolution.

In the "Trade Activity Log" I know that there are statistics, trades, etc.. but it would be nice to see directly some graph with the evolution of trades.
In addition to facilitating the export of this data for analysis.
(now I have to go to the "Trades" tab, "Coy All", paste them in an Excel and manage them from there, converting everything to European format and it is annoying).

I have tried the "Account Balance Graph" study but it doesn't work for me as it only shows me the line of my account "currently".
It is interesting to know the evolution of profits and losses in the trades in a visual way in a graph.

Thanks

It's good that they implement something similar, it's surprising that they don't have it at this point

This is a feature that I have always missed in SC, and that is present in other platforms. I don't get it.
It shouldn't be that complicated to implement.

If you want to see the performance of an individual symbol and Trade Account being traded, you can use the Trading: Closed Profit/Loss study:

NO, that doesn't work for me!
with those studies only the ones of the session I'm operating are shown in text (I've already tested them).
But I can't consult in a general way the summary of all the trades made in the platform in a graphical way.

I mean that the vast majority of platforms already integrate by default the performance of the account both in numbers (as your "Trade Activity Log"), as in a cumulative evolution graph, which can then be filtered by symbol, long or short position, date ...

Moreover, in the "Trade Activity Log" it is not possible to obtain all the trades of the same symbol, if there are different contracts.
That is to say, to consult all the trades of the MNQ where all its contracts appear (MNQH22, MNQM22, MNQU22, MNQZ22, MNQH23...).

I don't know if I make myself clear...

And I don't understand how a powerful platform like Sierra Chart, has not already integrated it.

EDIT:

The only things that are somewhat useful are
Trading: Closed Profit/Loss
Trading: Daily Profit/Loss

but they are limited to the current contract, you cannot see the evolution of the same symbol (e.g. MNQ) including ALL traded contracts.

Also, you need a "priced chart" to include such studies, which makes it a bit "awkward".

Could you add some like this in Trade Activity Log, to check all account performance, with filter of date or symbol (no individual contracts, all contracts for the symbol) with an account performance graph?

Or is it so difficult for your engineers?

Hi, I am using SC as it is a great plataform but I miss an accoutn performance chart like we have in ninjatrader 8. It is an important tool to see how your trading is going. Not only one symbol at a time. We need to see our whole work, performance of all the contracts.
I think this is a reasonable request. To be honest, when I started here I was disappointed about this.

Hopefully SC will sort this out soon.
Thank you very much

I'll second (or fifth) this. Would be a great addition. Plus, it could be a separate application that can read the trade activity database, thus keeping Sierra Chart nice and lean.

+1 - agree on all suggestions. We need a better solution. I have similar sentiment about the lack of calculating high/low equity watermark in the Period tab based on closed and open trades. Just Equity Peak and Valley columns on closed trades is extremely limiting for algo traders. Perhaps this is just a matter of prioritization to bump this up the delivery pipeline :-)
