Hello, Is it possible to integrate Sierra with Microsoft Excel? I've got a spreadsheet in excel that tracks the trades I take. It calculates the position size and tracks open PnL. I currently have it linked to Bloomberg to pull in the live market data for open position calculations, but was hoping to transition away from Bloomberg and do everything within SC. Is it possible to design a sheet in Excel and have it link to SC in order to receive current price and contract specs and integrate it into the sheet i created in excel? |

There is not a direct way to use Excel in Sierra Chart. Note that you can programmatically access the Sierra Chart Spreadsheets, so you should be able to access your Excel file and then move the data to an internal Sierra Chart spreadsheet. There may be a way to do this and it would be done by using the Sierra Chart Spreadsheet Study and setting it to write to a text file periodically. It is documented here: Spreadsheet Study Inputs However, this will not be real time. However look at this study: Write Bar and Study Data To File And you can also develop your own custom study to write to a text file in real time and accomplish whatever you require. Basically you would read that text file from Excel. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
