I'm getting number of trades instead of volume from my Number Bars Calculated Val Tot Vol

In fact, the bid ask split on the number bars themselves all add up to the trades per bar period limit. It seems like the volu is being swapped for the vola somewhere. This is for XAU, XAG, GBP, and EUR - USD. How can I resolve this?
