i put an alert on and set it to constantly go off and that i want it to stop i dont know how to stop it... please help.

You can select the option for Global Settings >> Mute All Alert Sounds. But this is really just a temporary fix. You really need to find the alert and remove it, or update it to only go off when you really want it. Open the Window Alert Manager and when the alert is true, it will give you information for what chart has the alert, or what kind of alert it is.
