I am looking for a way to replicate Ninja Trader's "Equidistant Bar Spacing [DISABLED]" on tick charts. It displays tick data as candlesticks very close together when ticks are moving fast, but leaves gaps between them on the time-axis if transactions are moving slowly. The spaces between them typically become very large during Globex/premarket session. Is this possible to recreate in Sierra? I've attached an example chart from the NY (RTH) open on ESH23 from 2/27/23 (shown in PST time zone)

A similar request was asked by another user 7 years ago at this thread linked, but no response was given: Disable Equidistant Bar Spacing in Volume, Range and Tick Charts

What we have is the ability to show spaces where there are periods of no trading. Refer to the following setting:
Chart Settings: Do Not Draw Columns With No Data (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Bar Period >> Chart Bar Settings menu)
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:

I've tried but have been unsuccessful in enabling this with and without the following extra settings in various combinations:
[Chart >> Chart Settings >> Bar Period >> INCLUDE COLUMNS WITH NO DATA],
[Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Data >> ALLOW ZERO VALUES],
[Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Data >> LOAD EMPTY BARS FOR DATE RANGE].

I did manage to get some tick bars to disappear with [Chart >> Chart Settings >> Data Limiting >> EXCLUDE <= 1], but they were not spaced out like how I hoped.
Unfortunately it seems that tick charts cannot make use of this setting, per your documentation for:
"Include Columns With No Data (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Bar Period menu)" which states that:
"This option is ignored on Number of Trades, Volume, Range, Reversal, Renko, Delta Volume, Price Change, Point and Figure Bars Bar Period Types."

I've also tried using the "Overlay (Bar)" and "Overlay (Non-Sync)" studies in various tick/time chart combinations but haven't had any luck in achieving candle spacing. Is there any other workaround?

If you could not get what you wanted with the above, then we do not have a way to do it.
