Tentatively we will be discontinuing the old Sierra Chart/Barchart Exchange Data Feed at the end of April 2023. This is information about this feed: Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed We will be not allowing any new exchange activations after March 5, 2023. These exchanges will be discontinued: - S&P Indices - Dow Jones Indices - Dow Jones Indices (Professional) - CBOE Indices - NASDAQ Indices - U.S. Equities (NYSE, NASDAQ, AMEX) - Hong Kong Futures Exchange - Hong Kong Futures Exchange with Market Depth - MorningStar FOREX spot/cash - CBOE Europe Equities --- The new data feeds that we will be offering to replace the above are as follows: 1. https://indexes.nasdaqomx.com/Home/GidsDirectory There are quite a few symbols that this data feed provides an there is also a PDF document listing the symbols that we will post here today. It will be a sufficient replacement for the above indices. And bring a lot of new global indices, in real time as well! We should be able to deliver this free for all of our users on Service Package 10 or higher. This is going to be a great enhancement for Sierra Chart. And for the volatility index you can use the S&P volatility index futures with the CFE data feed with the Denali Data Feed: Denali Exchange Data Feed NASDAQ global indices also has a volatility index which is very close to what the CBOE provides. 2. For US equities, we are going to provide the direct CTA/UTP consolidated tape data feeds. These will be provided both delayed and real time. The exchange fee cost will be in the range of 1 to 3 USD per month. 3. The MorningStar Forex data, almost no one uses that. All of ours users use our FXCM Forex/CFD data feed: Sierra Chart Real Time and Historical Forex and CFD Data Service 4. Hong Kong futures will be discontinued. For this Hong Kong futures data you can look at using either CQG or Interactive Brokers. We have no further comment on this. Important notice: In the case of CQG, this CQG account must come through a broker only, and must be a broker that supports Hong Kong futures. You cannot independently subscribe to a CQG account and Hong Kong futures. This will not work. ---- We are currently working on all of the physical/technical infrastructure for the new feeds. For anyone who wants the CBOE Volatility Index these are the current and upcoming choices: 1. The CFE futures volatility index available with the Denali Data Feed. Cost: 3USD/month for the exchange fee. You will already have access to the Denali Data Feed on Service Packages: 10, 11 or 12. You will just need to activate the CFE Futures exchange. 2. There is the FXCM CFD volatility index symbol. This is VOLX. Here is an example of that: https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1665164370904.png You can find this symbol in File >> Find Symbol >> CFD-FXCM. 3. Upcoming: We will also be providing the NASDAQ Global Indices data feed which has a version of the volatility index. This is upcoming. Here is an example of the NASDAQ Global index equivalent of the CBOE volatility index: https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1679673833737.png And here is the chart of the CBOE S&P 500 volatility index: https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1679673710128.png We think the one from NASDAQ looks much better. This data feed is going to be available to our entire user base and will only have a cost of 1 USD per month additional. It will become available in April 2023. Just a few days from now. We are very excited to be delivering these new consolidated tape data feeds for US equities from UTP and CTA. We are noticing significantly higher volumes than the consolidated tape we get from Barchart. And also odd lot trades will also be supported in Intraday charts and you can optionally enable and disable whether you want odd lot trades within Intraday charts. All of this is working well. We should be ready to deliver the UTP feed, which covers NASDAQ stocks, at the beginning of April and then later in the month, in April, CTA (NYSE and AMEX/NYSE Market) will be provided and we will move everyone over from the Barchart feeds who are using US equities to these direct consolidated feeds in April. All of this new data is delivered out of our new co-location space in Equinix CH1 on a very high performance 10 Gb network. We have dedicated high throughput Cisco switches for receiving the multicast feeds. There was quite a lot of technical work to accomplish this. This is a major accomplishment for Sierra Chart, and once again puts us in a position, where none of our other competition even exists. And we do this at a substantially lower cost and with high reliability. Rather than having to pay about 36 USD per month, for real-time equities data for the full consolidated tape, our users cost now drops to 6 USD per month and if you want to receive this data delayed you can. And pay nothing more. Delayed data will be available later in April. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Another major advantage with our new direct consolidated tape feed for US equities is that it is very low latency. There will be no lag at the open.

In this post we will compare the S&P 500 index from S&P to the equivalent one from NASDAQ Global Indexes: S&P 500 index: https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1680729235605.png NASDAQ Global index equivalent: https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1680729067663.png You can see that the chart graph itself matches exactly but the price range is different. For users who want to use the existing Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed for US equities or cash indices we will activate those exchanges for you on request, over the next 10 days.
