Hello support, I am on version 2466. On older versions, upon saving a alert condition study, alert manager window would instantly popup when there is a syntax error (or any error) in the alert condition. After the upgrade, it is not popping. Wondering if there is any setting to enable this. Even when I run market replay, errors are generated but no window popup to alert me of errors. My study collection has no indicators, ASCIL or spreadsheet studies, only simple alert studies. |

Check this setting: General Settings Window: Show Alerts Log On Study Alert (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Alerts >> Additional Settings) Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Thanks for your response. It was set to No so I changed it to Yes and the alert manager still does not automatically pop up on Error: #SYNTAX! when I hit the Apply button to study after making code change. Edit: Perhaps I should mention this. Before upgrading to current version, I was always using the Main instance and had no second instance. Since I went live on Main instance, I created second instance for sim/replay. This issue is happening on both main and second instance. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2023-03-03 09:11:52

This will be solved in the next release.

Hi, I am wondering if this issue was addressed in the latest version 2497. It seems it was addressed but it is behaving weird. 1) The Alert window keeps pop open every time there is a alert. If I minimize the alert window, it keeps blinking. 2) During market replay, when alert window is minimized and when alert generated, it forcibly brings focus back to the platform and hides the trade activity log 3)It tried to 'disable' alerts in all my studies and if I do that then it is not popping at all for any coding errors in simple alert functions. Could you please look into this? |

1. Make sure this option is set to No: General Settings Window: Show Alerts Log On Study Alert (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Alerts >> Additional Settings) 2. This is operating system level behavior. Not sure we can do much about that. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Thanks. I set the option to No and the behavior is now acceptable. For #2, I think if there is a feature to detach the Alert Window from the main platform window, the blinking should go away but no biggie. I am good with what I see now. Thanks for the prompt response.
