Hi,
I am working with a 6 tick Reversal chart, however I see multiple bars where the bar closes with less than a 6 tick reversal from the bar's high or low. See my markups on the attached image for some examples.(The chart data is set to 1 tick data).
Is there another setting that I'm missing, or could there be an issue with SC?

thanks.

What you are viewing is not how the Reversal Bars work. First, keep in mind that the reversal switches from reversing on the High to the Low for each bar. Then the amount of the reversal is counted from the High or Low to the Open of the next bar. Refer to the information here:
Chart Settings: Intraday Chart Bar Period >> Bar Period Type >> Reversal Bar (in ticks) (ReversalAmount - MinimumLength)

Sorry, I should have been using the open of the next bar to count the reversal.
Using the open of the next bar, I still see multiple bars where the high(or low) to the open of the next bar is less than 6 ticks on the 6t rev chart. I've annotated a new example (attached).

thank you.

Please get us a copy of that chart so we can take a look. There has to be a reason for what you are seeing, but there are too many options for us to go through them all one by one. Refer to the following for how to post a chart (be sure to leave the Numbers Bars study on):

See attached chartbook for the 6t chart I referenced in my example.

I also created an 8t (8-0) Rev candlestick chart with no studies and it has the same type of issue.
thank you for the help!

When we look at your chart everything is lining up properly. Although we are a bit confused why the data is different, as we are fairly certain we have the correct date and time in comparison to your last image.

Here is what we see:
https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=167700000041.png

If you start at the bar at 09:03:04 which has the crosshairs on it, you need to start at the High and then count down 6 ticks to the open of the next bar. From there, go to the Low and count up 6, and keep reversing and it works properly.

The main thing we want you to do is to delete all the data in that chart and redownload it. To do this select Edit >> Delete All Data and Download. Then see if the data comes in properly and the Reversal bars are correct. You really should have the same exact data as we show in our image.

Deleting and reloading all data fixed the problem on all the charts.
For your information, when the chart was incorrect I noticed that almost none of the numbers bars were completed auctions (0 bid at high or 0 ask at low). Now that the data has reloaded, almost all bars are completed auctions as I would expect.

thank you for your help!
