I was hoping to find a way to get the current timestamp without using a spreadsheet, and I discovered the Time and Sales Time study, which for my purposes will do nicely. However, I'm running a replay and it's off by one hour. My chart time for example is Chicago time, 09:35:00 and the time returned is always one hour earlier - 08:35:00 in this case. It updates live with the tape, but always off by one hour. The Time & Sales window itself matches the time on my chart (using the Clock study) perfectly. Is there possibly a bug with the Time and Sales Time study or am I somehow using it wrong? |

To possibly add something to this, the timezone setting on my chart doesn't even have any effect on the study. The Global timezone setting doesn't either. It's like the study has its own internal timezone that's off by 1 hour. Maybe some sort of DST related issue?

We cannot reproduce this. The time is correct. What is the exact study being used where you are determining this. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. "Time and Sales Time" is the study. Just one of the standard included studies.

So this just bit me again today because we have again changed our clocks recently, so if I go back to replay anything from prior to the time change, then everything is off by 1 hour in the time & sales. Can someone please confirm this? At the moment I'm trying to replay 2023-01-17, and I wind up seeing that it's 17:00:00 in the Chart Values Window, but 18:00:00 in the Time and Sales Time study. It is always off by one hour. But if I replay for example today, 2023-04-27 then the times match up perfectly. |

We now understand the reason for the problem. This will be resolved in the next release.
